I hope that yesterday you declared the blood of Jesus over our nation and all the people. If you didn’t, I encourage you to go back and join your faith with the rest of us.
Today, I felt the Lord wanted me to add a prayer for our nation, the leaders, and all people. There are of course, many reasons we should be praying each day, but the scriptures below help us understand the importance of praying daily.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 AMP, NIV … First of all, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men. For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
As you can see in 1 Timothy, we are strongly urged to pray for our leaders, those in authority over us, and all men (meaning all people). This should be something we do regularly.
Let’s look at some more verses.
Isaiah 32:18, 20 MSG … God says … “My people will live in a peaceful neighborhood—in safe houses, in quiet gardens… …you will enjoy a blessed life, planting well-watered fields and gardens, with your farm animals grazing freely.”
Psalms 22:27-28 NLT… The whole earth will acknowledge the LORD and return to Him. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him. For royal power belongs to the LORD. He rules all the nations.
Wow! These are exciting verses! And I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to see these words of God become reality, especially right now. And here’s the great news. We really can live in the reality of these verses and so many more of God’s amazing truths, but it’s going to take us doing our part.
And what is our part? Our part is prayer.
Of course, we should be led by God on anything else He needs us to do, but we know He needs us to pray. It should not be considered an option.
Let’s look at one more verse.
2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV … If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God needs us church! We are living in a sliver of time right before the Rapture, and God is up to some amazing things. And these amazing things include us!
So, I said all that to say this. Let’s come together as Christians, humble ourselves, and pray over our great nation and all the people. Let’s believe God for His heart towards our nation.
Let’s seek God and turn from anything that’s not of God. As a nation, we need Him to forgive our sins and heal our land!
And, always remember, your part is crucial!
Let’s pray …
Heavenly Father, I thank You for America, President Trump, all our leaders, and all those in authority. I lift them up in prayer and intercession (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
I plead the blood of Jesus over them and declare that they are protected and walk in divine health and strength.
Father give them wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You (Ephesians 1:17).
Help them to know and carry out Your perfect will in this nation (Romans 12:2).
Let their hearts be in Your hand God, and their decisions divinely directed of You (Proverbs 21:1).
Let all our leaders, judges, elected officials, and people in authority be godly and righteous. Its then that the people rejoice (Proverbs 29:2).
Father, I pray for noble leaders who “make noble plans, and stand for what is noble” (Isaiah 32:8), because it’s these leaders that will bring about a shift in the way our entire nation thinks and acts.
“Justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the fertile field. That justice will bring peace and safety forever” (Isaiah 32:16-17 NLT, MSG).
And then according to Your word, You said, “My people will live in a peaceful neighborhood—in safe houses, in quiet gardens.....you will enjoy a blessed life, planting well-watered fields and gardens, with your farm animals grazing freely” (Isaiah 32:18, 20). And this is the vision I see and believe for America.
Forgive us and heal our land Lord, as we humble ourselves and pray, and seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Our hope is in You - our Refuge, our Fortress, our God in Whom we trust - therefore we are blessed and we dwell safely in this land (Jeremiah 17:7, Psalms 91:2, 2 Samuel 22:3).
We prosper abundantly in our health, finances, and in the favor of God (3 John 2, Psalms 5:12).
Now Father, help America accomplish the great destiny You have called her to. Let the gospel go forth until every soul on earth knows about Jesus (Acts 12:24).
Let us walk in the fullness of being one nation under God (Psalms 33:12).
Let us walk in the fullness of Your love (Psalms 33:12).
I declare that we are a healthy nation (1 Peter 2:24).
We are a fear-free nation (2 Timothy 1:7).
We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37).
And this is a season of hope for our nation because we know our hope for a great future is in You God (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV).
Jesus is Lord over the United States of America! Jesus is Lord over my family and myself! In Jesus Name, Amen!
