Well, I’m happy to “see” you came back to Daily Boost after I taught on HOLINESS. 😊

I could almost hear folks saying, “Geez, she’s teaching on living in holiness when I’m just trying to not end up in jail for assault and battery. Has she even been to Walmart? Does she know the rejection of closed restaurants, closed garden centers, and limited quantities on toilet paper?! Does she even realize we’re in the middle of a pandemic?! People are acting nuts! They’re fighting over food items, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and anything else on the planet. And that’s just the one’s we’re trapped at home with. Really? She wants us to live in holiness? Right now? Has she breathed in too much Purell?!”

Okay. Take a deep breath. Relax.

I’m going to share the perfect scripture for a time such as this. And if you’ll apply it to your life, not only will this help you accomplish yesterday’s daily boost … not only will this keep you out of jail … not only will you feel amazing … but your faith will skyrocket too!

So, here we go. Let’s talk about LOVE.

God tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 what love acts like. Therefore, we can say this is what we should act like, because we know we are commanded to walk in love (John 15:12).

I’ve personalized these verses so you can declare them and receive them for yourself. At the bottom of this message, I have the scripture, not personalized.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP (personalized) … I endure long; I am patient and kind; I am never envious nor boil over with jealousy; I am not boastful or vainglorious; I do not display myself haughtily; I am not conceited, arrogant or inflated with pride; I am not rude or unmannerly; I do not act unbecomingly;

I do not insist on my own rights or my own way, for I am not self-seeking; I am not touchy or fretful or resentful; I take no account of the evil done to me; I pay no attention to a suffered wrong; I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness; I do rejoice when right and truth prevail;

I bear up under anything and everything that comes; I am ever ready to believe the best of every person; my hopes are fadeless under all circumstances; I endure everything, without weakening … I never fail, because God’s Love never fails!

Wow! What a great scripture! But, let’s go a bit further.

We know that everything Jesus purchased for us on Calvary can be obtained by faith … Salvation, healing, the fullness of the Spirit, the Gifts of the Spirit, the Fruit of the Sprit, victory over: the world, the flesh, the devil, and all the powers of darkness.

Faith brings whatever resources we need from the spiritual realm to the natural realm.

By faith we believe, act on, and consistently speak the Word of God over our circumstances.

By faith we believe we are who the Bible says we are, and we can do what it says we can do.

Through faith, we make the Word of God our final authority, by speaking it, hearing it, meditating on it, and acting on it.

FAITH is pretty important!

Then we read in Galatians 5:6 ... For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, it makes no difference to God whether we are circumcised or not circumcised. What matters is faith that works by love. (NLT, TEV, KJV)

So, how does our faith work? By love!

Faith connects us to God, and faith works by love. So, without love, our connection to God is short-circuited.

And besides – love isn’t an option – it’s a commandment from God! Jesus tells us in John 15:12 … This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

So, let’s start TODAY obeying the Word and getting ourselves to the place we need to be. A place of peace, a place of joy, a place of victory – walking in the love of God!

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP … Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly.

Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything without weakening. Love never fails…
