Does your mouth line up with God’s Word?
If we take a look at what God says in the scriptures about the words we speak, I think we’d have to admit, our words are pretty important and pretty powerful. Proverbs 18:21 says … Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit - you choose. Wow! That’s pretty serious! That verse alone ought to wake us up to the importance of the things that come out of our mouth. If we want life, we better speak LIFE - the Word of God!
We have many scriptures that point us to the significance of our words! Another one is Mark 11:23. It says … For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Yikes! … “will have WHATEVER he says!”
We need to get this scripture in our heart until we have received revelation concerning it. So much revelation, that we don’t dare say anything contrary to the Word of God.
Christians ought to be mighty conduits for the power and glory of God! But I believe one of the reasons we haven’t seen more power in the church as a whole, is because of the words that Christians speak. And in some instances, I could say the words that Christians refuse to speak.
Here’s what I mean. James and I personally know multiple Christians who confess their bad situation instead of what God says is the answer concerning that situation. Well, we just learned that we can “choose life or death” by the words we speak, and we can “have what we SAY.”
So, if we are using our mouth to give agreement to: a serious health issue, or to an empty bank account, or to a bad relationship, or to things concerning the Coronavirus, and so on … then we are putting ourselves in a place of defeat.
Continuing to declare the problem even builds faith for more of the problem. Can you see how that can keep a Christian in a powerless state?
On the flipside, Christians who refuse to speak who God says they are, or who refuse to speak what God says they have, and so on … they too are keeping themselves in a powerless state.
The Bible tells us we cannot please God without faith, and a study of the Bible reveals to us that we receive all we receive from God by faith. And how do we build our faith? By hearing God’s Word. How do we release our faith? By speaking God’s Word.
If we never speak who God says we are, or what God says we have, how can we build our faith for those things? How can we believe we are empowered with miraculous power, if we refuse to build our faith in scriptures like Ephesians 1:19 and Ephesians 3:16-20 that say we are?
God created you and me for such a time as this. He knew we could handle the times we live in, because He knew what revelation and power He would make available for a generation like ours.
But we have to be wise enough to step into what He’s provided. However, if our mouths are always speaking forth the negative things in life and never speaking forth the God things, we will never get to a place where we even want to go forth for God, let alone go forth in His power and glory!
We really need to get going on lining our mouths up with God’s Word. Why? Because we’re out of time. God is getting ready to do some amazing things to get the attention of the world and bring in the final great harvest of souls! You and I are a part of this end time plan.
Yes, when you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you joined the army of God - the end-time, supernatural army of God! So you may as well go ahead and start preparing. I’m not sure how long boot camp will last before we’re right there on the front line of this great outpouring of God’s glory!
And don’t even be the slightest bit concerned about whether you think you can “do this” or not. It’s not about ability. It’s about availability.
Once you make yourself available to build a relationship with the Lord and you take the time to get your mouth lined up with God’s Word, not only will many other things in your life just fall into place, but you’ll be going forth in the power and glory of God … seeing from Him … hearing from Him … speaking words of God that will bring miraculous results, because they will be words that He will confirm with signs and miracles.
And the best part - He even said He’d be right there with you and I as we go forth for Him (Mark 16:20)! So go ahead, prepare your heart, prepare your life and be a vessel that brings much glory to our amazing Father God!
Ephesians 1:19 AMP ... And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power (miraculous power) in and for us who believe ...
Ephesians 3:16-21 AMP … May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened (empowered) and reinforced with mighty power (miraculous power) in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith actually dwell (abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!
May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, that you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; that you may really come to know the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Now to Him Who, by His power (miraculous power) that is at work within us, is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think.
